cmonkey
In older versions of PS I could copy part of the image and paste itwhere I wanted it, all within the same layer. With CS2, when I copypart of the image and paste it, the program automatically creates anew layer. The result is a bunch more layers than I really want or need. Is there any way to make CS2 paste the copied section into the samelayer as it came from?
scott_richards3
You could just merge that new layer with the starting layer by pressing command - E (the merge layer shortcut). But if you want to copy something and keep it in the same layer: 1.Make your selection 2. Press "v" or click on the Move tool 3. while holding down the option key click on your selction and drag the mouse. A copy of your selection should be now moving around with your mouse within the same layer.
