khairul_yusuf
Can anybody explain why the shuuter count on a new D70s reads about 150 ? Could it be an indication of a demo unit. Thanks all.
john schroeder
A shutter count of 150 is probably due to factory testing and/or calibration of the camera. Are you looking at the shutter count listed in the exif or just the file number? A demo unit would most likly have thousands of shutter cycles not just 150. khairul_yusuf
It is in the EXIF data on Xnview, a freeware image browser. If it is due to factory calibration tests, it sure is a very rigorous test routine. Thanks.
jcuknz
I thought these things were supposed to go to 100,000 without failure, so what does 150 matter?

khairul_yusuf
Download & run Xnview and under Edit/Properties look into the EXIF tab. There are other dedicated EXIF viewer/editor which will allow you to do the same. Look into the archives of this forum or do a google.
