photos by kiem
Quick question. I havent had the time to read the manual, but I cannot changethe aperture size when its in the Aperture priority mode. It's locked at thelargest aperture (cannot change to f4 on the f2.8 lens). Please help. Thanks.
Michael R Freeman
"I haven't had the time to read the manual ..." Then I would suggest you find the time, starting on page 92, which I suspect might be the source of your "problem". Better yet, learn to read the index (starts on page 254). look under "Aperture, lock" for a clue. Sheesh ...
Ed_Ingold
Is the aperture ring (if any) set to the smallest opening and latched? If so, use the front command dial (just below the shutter release button) to adjust the aperture.
Jerry_
...is the f2.8 lens the AF 105mm f2.8 Micro-Nikkor? If it is, the lens may not go to f2.8 when you focus really close...the f-stop will be adjusted for the lens extension -- it could be f3.2 or f4 or ____? walterh
Michael it is a fast moving world is ist not? I find this question one of the more entertaining ones of its genre .-) Kiem: yes look if the aperture is locked at the lens. If this fails try the manual. photos by kiem
Michael, I know. My camera and manual wasnt with me when I posted, so its a 5-second remedy when you flip to that page. Coming from the D70 and D200 world, I was expecting everything can be adjusted through the Menu. Got this off eBay so its still new to me. Others, there wasnt anything wrong with the lens mount. Otherwise, I would see fEE flashing.
