shambrick007 Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 "a f3.5, 1/3.5 (1955)" --> makes no sense. A 35mm, f3.5? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
shambrick007 Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Oh yeah, and unless everything is in near perfect cosmetic condition, that price is too high IMHO. Go to KEH.com and look thier prices. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ronald_moravec1 Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Do you mean a 35mm and a 135mm lens and camera body? Or is there a third lens? $500 is a good price, but count on spending a possible $500 to $700 on maintenance to get it all working properly. The equipment is getting on to 50 years old and lubracants dry especially if the equip is not used. Rubber/silk shutter curtains age also. Lenses can develope a haze inside that requires profesional dissassembly. I can not of course assess the condition or know if repairs are required, but even if you had $1200 invested, a recently cleaned/adjusted M3 and two or three lenses should be a fair deal. These are like buying a used car where it is expected to have to invest money. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
michaelging Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Ronald, I thought he said $500 too , but I just looked again and there is a 1 before the 500 ,so its $1500.00. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ronald_moravec1 Posted September 23, 2006 Share Posted September 23, 2006 You are right $1500. Too much unless everything is in tip top shape mechanics and cosmetics. It is doubtful a new user will be able to detirmine before purchase. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
