kfuse Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 My 18-200mmVR lense makes 4 clicking nose when I turn the camera's power on (same noise you hear when VR is engaged), and after that VR seems not working at all. Do you hear the clicks when you turn on the power or when you press the shutter? I can hear when the VR is on, but it is not exactly a click, and only sounds when I press the shutter, no when I turn on the camera. And even in very silent places, absolutely no noise, I can hear subtly the gyros turning. It would be a good idea to check it with Nikon maintenance.
