one questin about the epson perfection 4180...

i?ve a epson perfection 4180 photo since today.

 

i like it a lot, but...

 

i?m a litte confused about the glas.

here you can see what i mean...

has anyone here also the 4180?

if yes, do you have the same structures on the scanning glas?

If you cannot clean the glass off from the topside, then you will have to take it back for an exchange (best idea) or open it up and clean the underside of the glass yourself. That looks like an awful lot of film/fogging due to outgassing on such a new scanner so it might be due to plain old poor quality control by Epson (such as forgetting to clean the glass before installation at the factory).
