kevinbriggs
Has anybody heard whether or not Canon is coming out with a successor to the EOS-1Ds Mark II anytime in the relatively near future? Thanks, K.
ralph_jensen
These two threads from the past couple of days might show how little anybody who can talk about Canon's plans knows about the answer to your question. If you don't have time to read them, don't worry; someone will ask them again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.... http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00GzaC&tag= http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Gza9&tag=

capocheny
kevin, "relatively near future" Define what relative means to you... a year, two years, 5 years? But, yes, there is definitely a new EOS-IDS Mark II coming out in the relatively near future. It may not be labelled the same, but there definitely is another upgraded model coming out relatively soon! :) These companies tend to keep the release of new upgraded version pretty "close to the chest" and it's only when they finally announce it (or an internal leak occurs) that you'll "actually know for sure!"
