johnmarkpainter
Are there any quiet remote-controllable cameras out there? I already have Pocket Wizards and a Nikon cable so I have something that works. I am more interested in a camera that has a remote control that would be quieter than a Motor-Drive SLR. I know I have seen consumer cameras that had remote controls, but of course image quality and lens speed would be NICE too. Flash Sync would be last on the important feature list. Thanks jmp
danny_wong2
Put the camera in a sound blimp - these are sound proof soft housings for various pro cameras and Nikon falls under that category. I can't recall who makes them but has seen them come up on ebay.

johnmarkpainter
It wouldn't HAVE to be Film actually...but I woudn't want to buy a 2nd DSLR for that use right now. I have a D100 but it would be wasted in that application. I like hiding a 2nd camera on a Tripod in a place where I can't be...on a concert Stage by a drummer or behind a guitar amp, in a Balcony, behind some flowers behind the Minister in a wedding. I would only shoot one roll (for obvious reasons). A consumer Digicam COULD work, but I doubt that the image quality and lens speed would be up to the job (but I am open to recommendations). jmp
johnmarkpainter
RE: Sound Blimps.... The ones I have seen that actually WORK are really expensive and are bulky. I could buy a Nikon D70 for the same money and they are reasonably quiet. jmp
