samir
I have had teh HP DJ 90 for several months now. While color printing suffers no criticism (better than Epson 2200), I did not manage yet to get adequate B&W. Even IMAGEPRINT, while improving things, does not help much in getting consistent b&w results. I have tried severak HP paper as well as Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and Photo Rag satin. Are there anyone out there using the HP 90 for b&w, and is so what is your workflow, which paper do you use, do you sue RIP? Also I feel IMAGEPRINT, which charges as much for Epson and HP, is much less active in providing HP profile...so that the package seems overpriced. sfcole
Samir, You haven't said what you don't like about the B&W , except to say it's not "adequate." What do you feel is missing? Why not post your workflow: are you printing from film scans or digital? The more detail, the more people can help. Scott
samir
Indeed. There is a greenish cast on glossy and satin paper (HP). On Photo Rag, blacks are not black enough. I use both digital and scanned film. Also, using IP, it is not clear what type of paper you have to select once you have selected one the GRAY profile: I use Coated for my Hahnemule Photo Rag, but may be I should use another one.
