eye-1 monitor calibrator

Recommended Posts

It depends :-P

If your monitor is well calibrated to begin with it does not matter whatever mode you use - right? Easy or advanced you will not need to change anything so its no difference.

If your monitor is way off - say a bit old - then how are you going to adjust that in easy mode? No way to compensate say a large offbalance of the r over g and b without compensating gain and cutoff for r g and b separately. you would not even notice if there is a large discrepancy. It might not help a lot to know that you need a new tube but at least you know that its not possible to calibrate your monitor within a certain brightness. So using all the information you can get will give you the best possible calibration and a feel for how good the calibration is. - by the way : I recommend to use a good reference image to crosscheck the result, especially on the first say 20 to 30 calibrations ^^
