You make a good argument, but since Canon anointed it as the 5D (an xD nomenclature), that's obviously what it is, not an xxD body. Please don't tell me that Canon's x vs. xx vs. xxx vs. xxxx product nomenclature is no longer relevant, reliable, trustworthy, etc. If that's the case, I have lost my last tangible point of reference to reality, and life will cease to have any meaning. I mean. . . you can't possibly put the 5D in the same class as the 1D-IIn and 1Ds-II The only thing they have in common is the relative pricing and the color of the body.
