forbeyon.com and Marc William's experience?

Have you received any albums back from Forbeyon.com?

That's funny. Given that he just got his design proofs, it will be a while.</

p>

We have done two Forbeyons with our own designs. The cover styles are

very appealing, and really stand out during a metting.

As a company the customer service is very good and they are quite

helpful.

The quality isn't perfect with our limited experience. The first album we

recieved had the front metal cover image frame scratched, one of the pages wasn't fully

laminated on the bottom, and the lower covers of the front albums pages were slightly

bent.

The client only noticed the un-lamninated photo so it wasn't an issue, and

Forbeyon also said they would fix anything else the client wanted repaired.

Also, our album was shipped via the postal service in a not very well fitting

box with inadaquate bubble wrap. The mail person also left the box on our front stairs.

Fortunately, it didn't rain.

Compared to the pristine perfect quality that GraphiStudios show up in,

Forbeyon is lacking.

As to turn-around, it's sort of a crap shoot. Our first album arrived fairly

quickly. Our second one, not so much. Forbeyon and BonMatch both use the same

manufacturer in Korea. Our second album shipped from the manufacturer on January

26th.

We still don't have it.

I'm pretty sure it was sent Camel Express, same year delivery.

For comparison, we sent in a GraphiStudio order at the same time as the

Forbeyon, and received the Graphi last week. It's pretty sad when Graphi is beating your

turn-around times.

Forbeyon has a beautiful product and good customer service, so I just hope

the quality and turn around issues are addressed.

As E.J. said, we're just in the first stage of development. The design work so far has been

very good. I was most impressed with how they combined images on a spread that

complimented each other without specific direction from me. They also did a neat 12 X24

display print mid book. I asked for specific alterations and they accomplished them as

desired. The design and review process hasn't been lightening quick, but it's been painless

and required very little effort on my part ... which is the objective I'm after.

The next step will be the critical one. Quality must be spot on. But I get the impression

that they will stand by their product. How well it all prints up will be the acid test.

With Forbeyon's permission, I've included them on my web site as featured albums ... but

if the experience proves less than I expect, I'll remove the images and any mention of

them in favor of my tried and true albums.
