geoff_foale
Hello again Janis. Considering the difference between your photo at the start of this question and the last one, I would say that you have come a long way in only 2 days! Geoff. wannabe
Hey Geoff! I just bookmarked Ken Rockwell's site! Very interesting reading! Thanks! $3 box cameras and cell phone cameras?! Wow. Definitely not the equipment. My lens lust is quickly diminishing. (BTW my "self portrait" came from my point and shoot Fujifilm Finepix e550 that I carry with me all the time.) grant g
Janis, As somebody who recently moved away from Honolulu, my first suggestion would be to just get out and shoot more. There is so much that is right around you no matter what part of the island you live or work. Aside from the 50/1.8 (which I think every Canon shooter should own), you do not really need any more lenses to be a better photographer. Until you find specific needs that your current equipment is *not* meeting...then resist the gear lust. But I do not think that should apply to general accessories like an external flash or tripod.
