._._z Posted October 5, 2006 Share Posted October 5, 2006 Well, at least it was reported as a claim and not fact. :-) Given the features in the 400D, something like a 40D has to come out sooner than later if Canon doesn't want sales to the 30D to fall to a trickle. I handled the 400D and didn't feel its build quality was any poorer than the 20d/30d. For most potential buyers, I don't see much advantage for the 30d aside from some focusing scenarios.
