goulden
I'm thinking of buying an iRiver music player but just wondering whether the iRiver H-340 is compatible with my 20D. As a media player it claims "As the H300 supports the USB host function, data from other UMS devices can be directly transferred to the player through a single cable without having to use a desktop computer. All of you digital camera users who have been waiting for this function will be pleased to know that files can be transferred directly from portable USB devices such as the digital camera." So can i just put a USB2 cable between it and my camera and empty my CF card onto it? Would it work with both raw and jpgs?
lotsawa
I read an online review of the H320/H340 (in German). They said they haven't been able to transfer data from their 20D to the drive. I didn't seem compatible. So I would be cautious, seems it doesn't work for every cam.
dkord
You might need a USA Bridge, like the one from Delkin. http://www.delkin.com/delkin_products_usb_bridge.html I've used this on my Mini Ipod and also tranfering from one usb reader to another: Lets say you have a 256 SD and want to transfer the images to a 2gig CF. You can go camera to camera but you can not play back the images on the other camera because it puts the images in a sub folder.
