david_degilio
I took some film out of the freezer and thawed it out using the proper procedure. I decided I am not ready to use it yet. Can this same film be re-refrigerated or re-frozen. By the way, I have been trying to use the search option to answer my own questions so I don't always have to bother people. But it brings up a whole list of topics and there are too many to sift through. Am I not utilizing this site correctly? Thanks, Dave
andrei_kvasyuk
I did it many times with 120/220. No problems. No experience with 35mm. Andrei.
randall ellis
I have never had any problem doing this with 35 or 120 films. - Randy
Ed_Ingold
Yes, if the package is unopened. Otherwise you risk condensation, which would ruin the film. Make sure the film is completely at room temperature before opening - which can take half a day or more.
Michael R Freeman
Dave, Technically you neither "thawed" nor will you "refreeze" your film. You are merely moving it from a warm state to a colder state. If the cannisters are still sealed, no problem at all. If they were opened, then you perhaps need to be a little more careful. If the humidity is very high now, you might want to wait for a day when the air is drier before resealing and popping them back in the freezer. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it (I have put opened cannisters back in the refrigerator/freezer many times without incident). You need to be most careful going from very cold to warm (primarily on humid days). Going from warm to very cold seldom causes any problems.
