pensacolaphoto
Recently I acquired a Bessa L camera here on PN, and I put it to use with Canon wide angle lenses; in particular, I used the Canon FD 7.5mm/5.6 SSC fisheye and the Vivitar 19mm/3.8 (in FD mount). SSC lenses allow you to manually control the aperture whereas newer FD lenses don't [without a tiny adapter which I am trying to get]. I am quite pleased with the results, showing me a new way of using Canon FD lenses and Leitz lenses on the L. Photos follow.

You just have to be careful not to overdo it. It has built-in filters, and it can spectacular scenic/beach images. No need to watch "your horizon" since the image is round and everything is "leve". pete1
How did you keep your feet out of the picture?
pensacolaphoto
Keep your feet out of the picture gets easy with age; as your eyes get weaker, you stretch out your rams when reading a newspaper. This is similar: stretch out your arm :-)
bobatkins
I have the Vivitar 19/3.8 and I've taken some fine pictures with it. However from a strictly technical point of view, it's about what you'd expect from an under $100 (new) 3rd party lens. Not quite up to Leica sharpness standards....barely up to modern plastic consumer zoom lens standards. I still like it, because it's small, light and convenient, but sharpness freaks should steer clear of it!

icuneko
The initial sky-gazing photo is like what people born outside first see when they enter this world and open their eyes.

morthcam
There are a couple on ebay right now, search on Canon Converter B.
pensacolaphoto
I will replace the Vivitar 19mm lens with the Canon 17mm lens in future Bessa adventures. The 17mm is sharper in my opinion.
