According to Minolta, the new model does a better job with negatives. However, there is no mention of any improvements in slide scanning. I am only interested in the 5400 for slide scanning. james_alexander Posted March 23, 2005 Share Posted March 23, 2005 I see in the specs that the fluorescent lamp in the original model has been replaced with a White LED in the new model.
