stwrtertbsratbs5
I just received what is supposed to be a Rollei Bay 1 filter that I purchased off of e*ay. It's in nice condition, but it's too small for my Minolta Autocord CDS III. Did I purchase the wrong filter, or did the seller send me the incorrect filter. Advice? Thanks, Robert
richard_laepple
Incorrect filter IMO. Perhaps a older push on filter (no bayonet at all) or bay 0.
jeff_drew4
Bay1 filters fit my Autocord & Rolleicords, but it's not a CDS Autocord. There are Bay1 to screw-on adapters as well. It sounds like the wrong description or label for the filter?
stwrtertbsratbs5
The filter I received has bayonet mounts - the diameter is too small, though. Thanks. Robert
richard_laepple
Can you give us the diameter of your filter?
mark_goody
I have an older Autocord, no meter, Optiper shutter. Takes Bay 1 no problem.
jeffpolaski
A fiend loaned me his Autocord CDS III (handed down by his father). First thing I did was have it throoughly CLA'ed. Second thing was research filters. I can't put my finger on the sources (multiple) of this info, but as soon as I find time to start using it, I will try to find some Bay II filters. andy m.
", I will try to find some Bay II filters." You need Bay I for the Autocord.
stwrtertbsratbs5
The outside diameter of the filter looks to be about 36mm. Robert
stwrtertbsratbs5
There are engravings on the metal: "script" R 1 Rollei - 1,5 - 0 Germany
richard_laepple
Robert, seems you have a bay I filter. I have no idea why it does not fit. I have never heard of a Autocord using bay II...
stwrtertbsratbs5
I assume that Bay II are larger. I also have a lense hood for my Autocord - the Bay 1 filter passes completely through the opening of the hood. Maybe I should take it into a local shop and see what fits. Thanks. bob_rannells
All Autocords take Bay 1 filters. Your filter should go through the lens hood. The lens hood goes on the outside ring and the filters go on the inside ring.
stwrtertbsratbs5
User error - I'm new to this mount. It fits. Thanks.
