dr.thomas_p._stewart
Where can I get the battery for the light meter for the old F1 ? What type of battery is it? Thank you. Regards, Tom.
tom_kessler
Tom, try http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/bronbattery.html. They should be able to fix you up, and keep your F-1 going. I believe it's a mercury battery, but this sites camera review section can tell you. Tom
dieter_lefeling
Your (old) F-1 requires a PX625 mercury battery. Same sized alkaline batteries will result in wrong metering results and should be avoided. <p> If you live in a region where mercury batteries are banned you should read more about this at http://www.kjsl.com/canon-fd/cameras/batteries.html. There also is a technical solution to this problem (C.R.I.S. MR-9 adapter). For more info see http://www.criscam.com/. <p> Dieter

tzu_fang_wang
Or just using a servo-ee finder instead... (need to carry a battery pack)...
