pete_gregar1
My local Pro lab has been doing a great job on my 6x7 negatives. 4x5 proof prints, index print, scanned hi-res on a CD 2 rolls of 120 film cost $13 to have done.. Now if I switch to 6x6 negative, what is the standard proof size?4x4? or will they probably crop to 4x5? I plan on asking them, just wanted to know what everyone else gets. eric friedemann
The usual proof size for 6x6 cm negatives is 5x5 inch prints.
kevin_hundsnurscher
I usually end up with 5x5 inch as well.
bob_cook
Peter- where is your local pro lab? That seems to be an amazing price. Does that include processing?
pete_gregar1
I don't think they do mail order, and they have some tight restrictions. As I said, $13 for 2 rolls of 120 processing, scanning and printing proofs. They only work with Kodak and Fuji Pro films, no exceptions. You also have to have a business account. andre_reinders
5x5 as well, although there is another lab here that does almost contact size proofs...like 2.5 x 2.5 inch proofs.
eric friedemann
Pete, I would note that Webway makes a superb 5x5 proof album that is expandable in black or white for 5x5 inch proofs: http://os.shopwebway.com/scripts/wgate/zww2070a81c2f/~flN0YXRlPTE4NTI0LjAwMS4wMi4wNA==?area=0000000031&~okcode=AREA&~target=_top&~forcetarget=yes
bacsa
In my case, the lab simply cuts the 4x5 (10x15cm) to square, that is, i get 4x4's. Price is the same as for 4x5 proofs off 35mm film.
