unknown Galileo stereo camera

Recommended Posts

Earlier this year I bought a stereo Galileo camera. I need help in

precisly identifying which model it is. Assuming that it isn't a

custom made camera. It was reputably owned by Bruce De Palma of

http://depalma.pair.com/BEDeP.html .

You should be able to see it @

For the record it still takes good photos, however the shutter speeds

are slower than desirable.

David, You gave the wrong link (broken enlarger). Your camera found in your single photos folder looks fantastic! Sorry, I can't help you with it. Virtually unknown. I have only seen the stereo prism attachment/viewer made for Gami 16. Please do post some pictures taken with it. I am curious about the vertical positioning of the stereo lens pair. What kind of film does your camera take?

Thanks for that. But it gets even more confusing. In the second shot, the lenses look to be in the right place and are at a different orientation than the first photo. Is the lens assembly with the shutter/diaphram dials rotatable?

This is looking more like a Galileo humbug...

I still can't understand how that works? If the lenses are at right angle (from the front) to the film and still appear horizontal at the rear. The film chamber area of your camera appears to be in need of a CLA. Hope, nothing scratches the film during transport. Are lenses fixed in focus? Is it macro capable?

In any event, truly a very rare find!
