Can't Rate

I've tried to go to the Rate Photos link three times tonight and keep getting

this message: Due to heavy load this feature has been disabled temporarily. Is

anyone else experiencing this problem?

I posted a photo for critique last night (8/21) and saw the same problem. If you look through the Critique Forum, on recent images you will see that the only ratings are from people who rated directly.

 

As to the website's difficulties, just signing in to post this message to a considerable amount of time.

I suspect that something is broken and has been removed from service, and that limits the system's performance, which has been stumbling for some 3 weeks now.

I think they are removing the ability to rate with 3s. There are no 1 and 2 allowed, so now due to the high number of complaints about 3s they have to go, also. Soon we will have a choice of 7 up across the whole rating spectrum.

There are some problems and admins/webmasters are surely working on... BTW, photo.net pages are often replaced by a simple message saying that the system is under maintenance.

As of 02:35 EDT the Rate Recent function appears to be working again.
