Late M6 TTL Production Dates

I'm picking up an M6 TTL with a very late serial (2756xxx) and the

only chart I can find online with this range listed puts it in the

0-999 special edition, which I know it isn't. Are there any listings I

don't know about that might show the year of production for this body?

Hmm, the S/N you indicate (2756xxx) seems to make it a 1975er, which isn't any M6. M6 TTLs came out in September 1998.

Your list appears to be lens numbers. The last I knew, an M6 TTL was a Leica M BODY.

There is another M6 with a high serial number #2756561.

The production period for M6 TTL is listed from 1998-2002. It is likely that your M6 TTL was made in 2002.

In case this helps any, I bought a new M6TTL with a number 2734xxx a month before the M7 came out and a few months before they stopped the M6 production. There are apparently some special edition bodies from the 'last' 1000 batch that have smaller number than that. I had to wait for my body to be shipped from Germany so it was not 'old stock', but I don't know when it was actually built.
