Mamiya Sekor NB?

I have not been able to find any useful information about the sekor nb

lenses. From what I gather nb stands for "new barrel", and that the

optics "may have changed". Does anyone have anything else? Thanks.

You are indeed correct that "N" stands for new barrel, there are no "NB" lenses. Most Mamiya M645 lenses are available in "N". Some [most] have a "C" the "C" stands for multi-coating (which all good lenses are nowadays) the "N" again which stands for New barrel design (basically the rubber grip knobs on the barrel which are different than the old ones) in addition to cosmetics, the "N" lenses feature refined optical systems, resulting in improved performance.

I asked the same question some weeks before and I was told, that "NB" indicates barrel of the "C" lenses but not the coating.<br>

Peter, I've seen an NB lens, I'm pretty sure that they exist. I use a rb67 not a 645, so that could be the difference.

 

I still think that it's odd that nobody knows anything about these.

Same optics and the Non-C, just the new barrel.

Well, I can atest only to 645 (ProTL) as thats what I shoot, I have 8 "C" and "N" Lenses no "NB". They could be for RB or RZ? but acording to the same question asked on the Mamiya (fourum) web site, I stand that "N" designates "New Barrel" design.

One more time, they are for the RB...they exist.
