Just to let all you Kodachrome fans out there, my local Ritz had a bunch of KL-200 slightly

outdated for the bargin price of 2.49 a roll. Not sure if it was a 'one-shop only' deal, but

Ritz probably buys the film in very large amounts so probably Lots of it are now outdated,

so you may be able to find some of this very unique film for very cheap. I got 20 rolls and

will see if they have any left (Kodie-Chrome? What the heck is that?) when I get around that

area again. Good Luck!

While I love Kodachrome and shoot it almost exclusively, I don't think the consumer KL will

ever reach the same status as the KM. KL has some very nasty color shift depending on

how it was stored. If it's been hanging around for quite some time, shoot a roll...if the

colors are good, then you've got a bargain :) If the colors have gone all pink chances are

the entire batch will have some nasty magenta shift.

In my time I've gotten very few bad batches of the old KM 25. Not so with KL.

For reference, KL is still in production; my latest batche has a 6/06 expiry on the side.
