micheleberti
I heard that the scanner autoexpose the slide or the film depending onthe area selected using an alghorithm similar to the evalutativemetering of a camera. I have also heard that changing the selection Ican change the exposure calculated by the scanner. I have tried fewtimes but changing the selection and then pressing the exposurebuttomn doesn't change anything. Does anyone out there use thistechnique? Does it work that way? paul_miller9
In the Nikon Scan software, the only settings which are affected by the marquis selection are those on the tool palette. A marquis selection will not affect the autoexposure (which is on the main TWAIN console), but it will affect the auto-contrast (on the curves item in the tool palette).
