rahul_deshpande1
I'm shooting B&W candids during a friend's wedding. There will also be a pro doing the actual wedding shots. I'm wondering...how should I present my prints to the couple? I'm thinking of 5X7" white bordered prints, but should I just give them the stack of prints or put them in an album. I might make 8X10"s of some exceptional shots. I don't plan to show them proofs or anything, I will have a free hand with the selections. They are going to cover all my costs and then some. Suggestions? Thanks, Rahul
holly mikel
Well, if they are covering all of your costs, I would suggest getting them hand-matted in Cancun - the beautiful sun setting over the beach and the margarita in hand would aid in getting in the right frame of mind to decide which ones to enlarge. And I would then fly to B & H in New York to sit down with a customer service rep. who would help you pick out which album to place them in. Just my $.02. ;)
adrian_morgan
If they are covering the cost, then 5x7 full framed white bordered prints, matted in a lovely wooden box. However if you want to do it cheaply, get contact prints made and take those to the couple to select the ones they want printed and mated.
cathysteiner
Hi Rahul, In one of my developing classes there was a student that made b/w prints of candids he'd taken at his sister's wedding on 8 x 10 paper. Some of them he'd scale it to a 5 x 7 or so and place 1/3rd up the page. He'd do this for all the prints and then the ones that he thought would be nice larger he'd use the full page. He then put all in a glasene (sp?) envelope with a big ribbon, tissue between the prints...looked great. Cathy
