basscheffers Posted April 11, 2005 Share Posted April 11, 2005 Well, that is my main issue and why I left them; I am not spending GBP1200 on a body when the only convenient (ie: ~28-100mm equiv) standard zoom lenses are cheap and slow. All I ask for is an EF-S 17-60/2.8L (or even 2.8-3.5, like Oly does) and I'd be sold on the 20D - I wouldn't mind the non-IS 70-200/4L, that combo would work great. The 24-70/2.8 is only usefull as standard zoom on a 1Ds. Looks to me Canon won't make that lens I want because it would no doubt take away pro sales from the 1D(s)... I wouldn't be too hard on the different converters, it's hardly the camera's fault. Whenever a new camera comes out, they all try to get it working quickly and the quality/consistency only comes of age in the second release.
