matija_ponikvar
Any ideas about the costs of such lense (can even be comparable with 300mm/f4 1100$ price???)
andrew_ryan
I highly doubt that it will be anywhere near the 300 2.8. Judging on the basis that the 400 2.8 is nearly twice the 300 2.8, the big chunk of glass at the front of this thing (as well as the overall 'look') and the new technology, I predict it to be somewhere comporable to or slightly cheaper that the 300 2.8 IS. My guess is $3,300 to $4,000. Take it with a grain of salt, but mark my words.
andrew_ryan1
P.S. I went to the sight and was wondering what 400 f/4.0 they compare that to. I have been unable to find any information on a Canon 400 f/4 except for speculation on the upcoming DO version. Can anyone help? What is the cost?
