john_shriver
Yeah, with a lens that only stops down to f/18, and a top shutter speed of 1/1000, you were on the verge of having to overexpose! Could have been worse, you could have chosen to pack a Summar or Summitar, they only stop down to f/12.5! I find it kind of surprising that Leica lenses shorter in focal length than 90mm still have a minimum aperture of f/16. All my Topcon SLR lenses stop down to f/22. Sure, you're going into diffraction territory, but better than overexposing.

michael_kastner
Huw... maybe you want to hear something else, but... apart from any camera body and/or lens, this is IMO a great shot, due to your talent in composition.

michael s.
Huw -- What I like is the gent at right sucking in that stomach to look a bit more trim for the photo. Allen - Very strong lines, shapes, and shadows on yours. That one qualifies as "art." No bs. Dennis - I showed your shot to our little terrier. Here he is smiling, relieved that you made it out of there in one piece -:)<div></div>
