dave_flanagan
Hello all, I moved to Germany, and I'm looking for the equivalent of B&H for buying film and developing chemicals. (I spent all afternoon in Frankfurt today, but the only store that might have had Xtol was closed.) Do any of our German readers have suggestions? Thanks,Dave
des adams
Dave I?m in the North so I don?t know the Frankfurt situation but here are web addresses of people who send stuff through the post. I?ve bought from them and never had a problem. Check out their sites. They also have catalogues if you order one. brenner-foto.de monochrom.com filmart.de martina-wehmeyer.de
andrew_c2
This doesn't specifically help, but maybe you could find a company that sells materials for you to make your own D76. Helluva lot cheaper than buying it at the store. Regards
h._hillebrand
You could try: www.fotoimpex.de www.phototec.de www.foto-brenner.de Just to name a few mail order shops. I'm afraid I don't know about the situation in Frankfurt.

socke
Here in Bremen it gets a bit difficult, too.

I second fotoimpex and have a look on their forum.
Hopefully they have their Adolux ADX developer out soon :-)
michael_beckmann
In Frankfurt, pay a visit to GM Foto. The store is very near the central station in Taunusstr. 47 They have chemicals and films, including rather special films, sheet films and the like. http://www.gmfoto.de/ For mail order, I prefer Nordfoto. They have the best prices for film and they are reliable. If you order before 14:00 h, they will normally send your film out the same day. Use them if you need a lot of film. They also have pretty much any photo chemical from the major suppliers. Something is wrong with Nordfoto's web site at the moment, so you better give them a call: Nordfoto Versand Inhaber: Uwe Schneider e.K. Werkstraße 8 22844 Norderstedt Telefon: 040 5298650 Telefax: 040 5293217 E-Mail: post@nordfoto.de Internet: www.nordfoto.de

jim_thompson6
Hi Dave, I have had good luck with foto-brenner.de. They have a fairly wide selection, and their shipping is reasonably quick. I would also look into several local shops; there is nothing quite like the personal touch, even if you sometimes pay slightly more. Ciao, Jim
pablo_flint
i dont recomend foto impex
poor/non existant communication even poorer product (paper unusable and now in the bin after two days)
by far my least successful foto supplier in over 20 years of pro work
but hey you dont need to take my advice
lex_jenkins
Pablo, as I've stated on the b&w forums when you've brought up this problem, I'm sympathetic to the unsatisfactory experience you've had with fotoimpex and ADOX. But digging up threads that have been dormant for several years to post the same complaint is not a constructive use of photo.net discussion forums. It's simply not relevant to these older threads.
luca_stramare2
I have friend buying there:
http://www.macodirect.de/
but I never tested them directly, since they have a company representing them in Italy, and this company is located close to where I live, I prefer to buy directly in Italy and save on shipment costs.
