He enjoys a great reputation and I found him very helpful to speak to about what I should look for when buying a MF Kodak. I don't entirely trust my memory, but I think the conversion of a Kodak Chevron or Medalist was going around $250-300 two years ago. I decided against it. Another consideration is that he had a six-month backlog of work back then. Things may be no different now. Good luck,

www.manfredschmidt.com does something like a half convertion that it is a lot cheaper than that. Basically it leaves the 620 taking spool and converts the film chamber to 120 film. The result is that you cna use 120 film and avoid respooling but you will still need a 620 taking spool.

My understanding is that the Kodak Chevron is a lot more expensive to covert than the Medalist. Besides the Chevron is not a very reliable camera.
