suman
The same question was posted here a few months ago but I could not find the post by any kind of search. So who and where does canon makes theri glass? I think it was also been discussed that Nikon also buy their raw glass from Canon's factory. Was it the Asahi glass co in Tokyo? erin.e
Hoya is the largest optical glass manufacturer in Japan and supplies glass to many lensmakers world wide, and probably Canon and Nikon too. However Nikon manufactures its own ED glass and Canon its own flourite glass for high end telephotos
