john_brewton
Saw this last night. "High Art". Terrible movie. I'm guessing it was possibly suggested by someone interested in Diane Arbus (in an very obtuse way). Lots of drugs and lesbians. Brief synopsis: Chick works for photo magazine "Frame". Meets neighbor who turns out to be this once famous photographer. Talks her into doing a shoot for first time in ten years. Uses an M2 for main shoot. Got it on Netflix. Not recommended unless you're a diehard. Made in 1998. Stars Ally Sheedy and Patricia Clarkson.
leica ron
I remember this one, she had an amazing light-meter in her head, as far as my memory goes she didn't meter once ... it must have been one of Huw's modified Leica ....
michaelging
I especially like it in movies, when the Leicas have a motordrive sound coming from them as they shoot photo after photo.
vic_.
I don't think Ally Sheedy has done anything significant since Sixteen Candles.

leslie_cheung
On the contrary, I think she was amazing in High Art. It was a perfect role for her, she shun the trendy art world as much as she did Hollywood in real life. BTW the film was loosely based on Goldin's life.
