Color temperature of Halogen

what color temperature should I set for halogenic lights?

i also own 420EX flash - how bad idea is to mix those lights

togheter?<br>

most halogens tend to come in around 36-3800k - pretty yellow compared to your strobe.

Is a bad idea? Not necessarily. You could put a 1/4 - full cto (daylight to tungsten

conversion) gel/filter over the 420ex to balance it better, but depending on the shot, it

may not be necessary.
