m42 adapter for leica R4

Hello all is there an M42 pentax screw adapter for the R4,?

I have some m42 lenses by zeiss and want to use them.

No. Leica R flange-to-film distance is 47 mm, M42 is 45.46 mm. So an adapter for mounting M42 lenses on an R body has to have negative thickness.

 

If you want to use the Zeiss lenses, get an M42 body for them.

Leica R cameras have a rather long distance between the lens mount and film plane. So while

you can use R lenses on most other cameras, I don't think you can really use many other

lenses on R cameras. I am assuming that M42 would require the lens to be closer to the film

plane than you can get with an R body...unless the adapter has an optical element.

Thanks everyone, ,at the moment i am repairing the light seals in a mamiya msx 1000, and fuji ST605n both are m42,so i will be able to use the zeiss lenses, long live 135mm film.<div></div>

Hi, Paul. Don't exist, if you want keep the infinity focus capability of your Leica R4. However, is possible to make an M42 adapter for Leica R, but only for close up and macro works.
