flaviosganzerla
I made 3 "pictures" about the evolution of "what looked good from mypoint of view about composition" since the beginning until now. I amposting here to ask you to drawn what YOU think should be the nextimage, following the idea of the first 3 and/or post an image of howshould look your idea of a "beautifull composition" at this moment. And if you want to leave some words about your style or idea... pleasedo it! To make a standard image about how it should look, my images have341x284 PIXELS, were made with RULERS in PHOTOSHOP and have EQUALSPACES BETWEEN THE BARS, those have 1 cm WEIGHT and 3 DIFFERENT SIZES(1y, 2y or 3y) and are in a number of 5 OR LESS. Please maintain this"guidelines" when posting an example. I decided to post on a LEICA FORUM because people here looks moreinterested in this kind of things (hope I am not wrong) and becausethere is a "tradicion" in posting pictures and discussing things. Idon?t think it is possible to do on NIKON FORUM for example. Sorry ifmy English is not good.

flaviosganzerla
What is WRONG in asking your opinion about YOUR "PERFECT COMPOSITION" AT THIS MOMENT OF YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY LIFE? Should I let in consideration the bad education some people had in life everytime I post a question and decide to share something with others here at LEICA FORUM? Thanks some of you about being very stupid and not answering/destroying my initial intentions.
mike dixon
I'm not sure what the next step will be, but with any luck, at some step you'll start trying to develop a good sense for creating compositions that work for your subjects instead of wasting time creating abstract "ideal" composition and looking for subjects that fit them. flaviosganzerla
Looks like you are like sheeps, if one answer seriously so you will answer seriously, if one answer like a stupid person, the others will act the same way.
flaviosganzerla
Mike, as said in title, I was thinking about something like an exercise, this is not to be so critical, I only wanted some opnions like the (good) one from Markus, it can?t be that hard. By the way, thanks for answering like a normal person.

awahlster
Damn I can't find my crayons anywhere. Flávio, I don't man to make fun of you but for crying out loud what the hell is the point of this excersize? What you need is to go outside and take some pictures. Burn as much film as you can something is bound to look good if not then try a new hobby but this is just silly.<div></div>

terry_rory
Yes Phylo what we need is nice bit of Golden Ratio. I do not have a Fibonacci function on any of my cameras. (Although the cropping factor on a Canon EOS 300D is 1:1.6) Flavio, your (many excellent) photos are a better demonstration of composition than these abstract 'games'. I do not like posts which start off with a list of instructions and tell me to... "maintain this "guidelines" when posting an example"... and I am put off by people who SHOUT IN CAPITALS when giving such instructions! Also, many of us post in the Nikon forum as well. (I use Nikon and Leica equipment) It is bad form to insult one forum to the participants of another by questioning (for instance) their ability to understand the rules of composition. abufletcher
We are all at different points of the path. Apparently, no one here read Jonathan Livingston Seagull. I remember back several photographic lifetimes when I was doing things like this. Well, not exactly like this. But I did draw a bunch of quick "schematics" of the dominant shapes in some of the Ansel Adams (the only photographic god I was aware of at the time) photographs. I have no idea where Flavio is in his own personal development. Judging from his initial post, he"s back at that point where compositons are supposed to be "beautiful" and "balanced" rather than say "disturbing" or "chaotic." Flavio, enjoy the trip.<div></div>
terry_rory
Your post reads more like an exam question than a friendly invitation to discuss composition with you. Maybe this is part of the reason for some of the responses you get. (My own included)
