vick_vickery
I know The Big Yellow K stopped producing 4x5 pack film some time ago...has anyone taken up the slack or does anyone know of a source of good old frozen pack film? I've got a couple of pack backs that I'd love to put to use. One of them is brand new...never used!
ted_stoddard
Well Kodak did discontinue most if not all of the packs but the alternative is fuji and some stores like B&H and others still have some available like the Tech Pan 25 speed film and etc.... you might want to take a look and pick up some while they are still available... I also heard a rumor which hasnt been proven that Kodak will be completely stop producing any and all films but its only a rumor good luck.... happy holidays
neal_shields
I brought some TriX film packs on the auction site that the seller claimed had been frozen for 20 years. They seemed to work fine and were $8 each. However, I had forgoten (used them in high school) how thin the negatives were. They would not load reliabably in a Jobo reel and I had to tray develop them and scratched some. Also, I think you need to use a glass or negaflat carrier when you enlarge them or live with a lot of bow. I used a negaflat.
