steve_barrett
Are there any markings or another way to tell if a Hasselblad prism is the NC-2 or NC-2/100?
q.g._de_bakker
Steve,

No markings i know.
The bottom part of the rear wall of the NC-2 starts coming out immediately, curving backwards, towards the eyepiece above, while on the NC-2/100, it goes more or less straight up for the first bit (about 1 cm), along the edge where back and side walls meet. jim_payette
The NC-2/100 was made so the polaroid back will fit.The NC2 has to be removed to use this back.
ken_okelley
Great question and you propelled me to get the two prisms out that I have and shoot photos of them side by side so that you can see the differences and how slight it is. It's just enough so that the polaroid back can slip on with the NC-2 100. But the best way if you were buying one is to ask the person if a polaroid back will go on with the prism. Again, the photos below show that the only real difference is the section under the eyepiece...the 100 is angled a wee bit differently and a little higher. Oh, and only 2000 to 3000 were ever made of the 100 so it's going to be fairly rare. I'm selling a 100 on Ebay right now that still looks nearly new. Well, it doesn't look like there is any way for me to upload the photos to photo.net so if you want to see the prisms compared side by side then shoot me an email to seeandhear@hotmail.com and I'll buzz 'em to ya. all the best, Ken
