ruslan safin
Dear frinds, i put shutterspeed at 1 sec, released the shutter and after the shutter worked out 1 sec I still could hear some sound as if of a little spring were getting back. Same but shorter is at 1/4 and 1/2. Is this normal? Thank you.:)

steve george
Rusla. This is normal - at slower shutter speeds there's a slight "rattle", almost like something is vibrating. (Can't think of a better way to describe it.) Haven't got my M6 with me but from memory this starts about 1/30th.
ruslan safin
i celebrate! :) thank you!
tom5
If you DON'T hear those sounds, something is wrong. If you buy a used Leica M, you should listen for the characteristic slow speed sounds to make sure that the shutter hasn't been repaired improperly. 35mmdelux
sound to hear for is at 1/15. Yes it does have a spring effect.
sitemistic
I've always described the sound at 1/15 as a ball bearing tossed into a metal tube closed at one end. :) I must have too much time on my hands.
SolaresLarrave
Funny how the 1/15 is the most recognizable of the shutterspeed sounds. It's kinda playful!

karl_georg_wolf
My favourite is the 1/ 15 - but depending on mood also a slower sound once in a while ...... Just THE perfect LEICA-M shuttersound ! With the M7 it started to get a bit boring. Best
