adam_klaum
Hello all, I am looking at a Pentax Honeywell 1/21 spot meter for sale, but itseems to differ from most of the ones I've seen. It says HYCAM on theside and where shutter speed is normally on the dial the numbers aremore like 6k, 12k, 25k. Is this the same as any other 1/21 but with adifferent dial? Or is it calibrated for some other use?
adam_klaum
There is also a sticker on it stating that it is "Calibrated for 1/2.5 shutter"
adam_klaum
Perhaps the scale was just pictured at the high end. Does the scale normally go up to 25,000th of a second and more?
jason hopper
Interestingly there is a "Hycam" camera on the auction site, #3850326620, that relates to this meter. "Hycam" seems to be a high speed motion picture camera. The "Hycam" meter's calibration for 2.5 would be for a f2.5 aperture setting, the 6k-25k would be for FPS film speed.
