For example, I could develop Ilford HP5 in stock solution for 7.5 minutes, 1+1 dilution for 13 minutes or 1+3 dilution for 20 minutes. Lower d max also, making development in dilute dev more suited to scences of great brightness range. Possibly slightly greater sharpness through adjacency effects. Try 1+1 as a compromise.
