quicksilver
I have been selling my photos for a long time now and have recentlystarted making other photo products such as Photo CDs and Prints ofPublic Domain images. I am curious as to the best way to market my work and the CDs becauseit seems there are a lot of people out there selling their work. Ihave donated almost all of my work into the public domain and wouldlike to know what I can do to increase my business. I have been working hard at this for about 7 years and sell my workprimarily to the consumer market and not the media for editorial license. What do you think? http://www.pdfoto.comhttp://stores.ebay.com/Quicksilverdirect
azdustdevil
Based on your question I think you are a long way of running your own business. Marketing is a highly specialized function that requires training and experience. Don't expect much in this new business venture. Stay where you are and save yourself money and disappointment. You will be happier for it.
medina photography cherry
Hmmm, if, lets say, Ray Krock would have just stayed selling milkshkae mixers there would never have been the McDonald's restaraunts we know today. Ray Krock said "Success is not free, but neither is failure." You CAN, I repeat, CAN do anything and accomplish ANYTHING, just work hard at it. Another- Cornel Sanders was a failure at everything he ever did. At the age of 80 he started selling fried chicken which as you know grew into a huge empire KFC. I dought he thought about having special training for marketing his product, be he did a darn good job. Don't listen to negative people.

tomsperduto
I agree with Robert, Life is too short to not venture out because of fear of failure.
