bruce_garrett
Has anyone used a Coolpix 8800 with an SB800?
heinz_lottermoser
I do, but I just got both within the last couple of months. Still experimenting quite a bit.
giuseppe_fallica
I have a Coolpix 8800 + SB800. The speedlight unit works very well in (iTTL mode) when it's positioned on the camera. But I've bought it for different purposes: I'd like to use it in slave wirelesse mode (SB-4). When I use both the speedlights (the internal coolpix flash and the external SB-800) I have always an underexposure problem. I think that the problem is in the camera setting (not in the SB-800 setting), but I'm not able to solve it!
alain_rodrigue1
Hi, I have the same setting and I experienced, more or less, the same problems. I am carefull not to use the full automatic mode in slave wireless uses. Because of the preflash. But still, it is a little underexposed. Also, using the SB800 in iTTL mode and attached to the Camera, the pictures end up all darker than the same setting without the SB800. Finally, with the internal flashes, I can shoot pictures further than with the SB800. Which is probably because the Coolpix8800 compensate too much. If I use the SB800 in manual mode at full strengh, I get the same light as with the internal flash. Which is odd. Did you find any solution?
