Gallery w/ checkout needed for self hosted

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I need a web template or script to do the following:

1. Multiple galleries.

2. Secured galleries (for some only).

3. Checkout options for print OR digital, including multiple items.

4. Easy to upload.

5. Easy to manage.

I want to host it on my own servers, not use another companies.

Ideas? Similar to Smugmug capabilities.

Thanks all!

I tried many tools and finally discovered it was easier to develop the tool for my specific

need. I basically had the same points as yours, without the "3". But a simple and easy

home made PHP can be modified easily.<br>

If galleries are stored in separate folders, a simple .htaccess will solve the security

problem.<br>

I thought it to complicated to adapt Gallery or Coppermine for my needs...<br>

Good luck, hope it helps.<br>

<p>When I moved my website recently in the middle of September to a new host, I acquired a whole range of vocabulary. Fantastico is one of them although I have not used it yet.

<p><a href="http://www.acehost.com/fantastico.htm">http://www.acehost.com/fantastico.htm</a> explains that fantastico is the leading automatic script installer and describes several scripts including two gallery scripts and one e-commerce script, that can be installed by fantastico. I am not recommending Acehost, but they just happen to have a convenient page to show you when I searched in Google. My host, Lunarpages, has fantastico to install many scripts including 4Images Gallery and Coppermine, OS Commerce also.

<p>If you want to host it on your own server, it looks like you need to get fantastico. Fantastico requires CPanel to run, but I've found the following page where they describe how one buys fantastico:

<a href="http://netenberg.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29">netenberg.com</a>.

You might want to research further in Google and perhaps Google groups to learn more about it.
