martin_patek_strutsky
What shoulder bag would you recommend for the following kit: 20d, 17-40/4, 70-200/4 + generous space for papers, food, etc.? It is important for me, that the 17-40/4 could stay on the body while stored in the bag. In general I like Billingham and Lowepro but their websites are not very helpful for making a decision. paul hart
I have the Billingham 335, which I suspect is probably about the right size for you. I looked at a Lowepro - can't remember what it was called, but it was priced at about 110 UKP - and while it was about the same size as the 335 and had a handy central zip, it wasn't nearly as well made. coolmingli
Martin, take a look at the Lowepro Nova 5 pro. I think it is what you need.

brad_w
The Lowepro Stealth Reporters are designed to hold a camera w/ attached lens. The lens sits vertically, camera body horizontal in grab-and-go position. The 200 will fit your kit w/ plenty of room to spare. The 100 will fit it too with much less slop. That said, the Domke F-6 is a rockin' little bag - super slim and they break in to be really flexible and easy to carry. -b
vpi
I have the same lenses as you do and I'm very happy with my Domke F-4AF. I put the 300D with the 17-40L/f4 and the lens hood in the main compartment, and the 70-200L/f4 with lens hood attached goes into one of the two lens compartments. I also carry a 50/f1.8 and a 100/f2.8 macro with lens hood attached in the second lens compartment. This leaves me with plenty of room in the two side and the front compartment. Highly recommended, would not want to trade it. Check it out at: http://www.saundersphoto.com/html/body_f4af.htm
wgpinc
Currently I'm using a Domke F-5XB for my EOS lenses. The strap is a little crude but it holds my 20mm, 50mm macro, 100mm and 70-200mm 4.0(barely tall enough) securely, with dRebel outside with 35mm. http://www.adorama.com/DMF5XBBK.html?searchinfo=domke%20f5-xb&item_no=3 Should be able to configure it for 17-40, 20D and 70-200. Good luck
awindsor
I have the same lenses but also a battery grip. This combination fits in my LowePro Backpack but I have yet to find a way of conveniently carrying it out of the backpack. My TLZ 1 held the EOS 5 + VG10 + 28-125 IS snugly but won't hold the 20D. I am leaning towards a chest harness. I have the Canon hand strap which I use for shooting in landscape format. Any other suggestions.

yakim_peled1
To me, bags and tripods belong to a category of their own in a sense that they require very personal fitting and what's good for me may well not be good for you. Thus I will - personally - never recommend a specific model. For example, I once saw on the web a bag that I really liked. However, when I got to the store and tried it out I found that it wasn't very comfortable. I tried another and - surprise - it was excellent. Thus I suggest you do the same. Go to the store and try them out yourself. Suggesting a brand is a different thing and I (like many) find Lowepro bags to be excellent. HTH. Happy shooting , Yakim.
