Ur-Leica replica

I found an Ur-Leica replica (made in Wetzlar) one year ago. It's very well maked, and i put

it upon my book-case...Yesterday I discovered a photo on the net, with the camera open!

I thought it was just a dummy,impossible to open, with nothing into... and yes ! there is

the shutter, the film pressure, and the most part of the original mecanism ! 5 great

minutes in the life of a Leica fan!<div></div>

Where did you buy it? Do they sell others or was this a one of a

kind?

I bought it in my city, Grenoble in the french Alps. The camera was for 10 years in the

display window of the store.

I know, it's difficult to find one, only 500 copies were made in Wetzlar by apprentices in

the 70 's.

...but it's impossible to load a film in it... also the lens is a fake one.

What do you mean 'impossible to load a film' and 'fake lens'? If it has everything (shutter, film pressure etc.) I guess it works, right? And why did you buy it in the first place if you thought it was a dummy? ;-)

Because, IT'S A REPLICA,a non operational camera ,the "lens" is only a piece of glass, and if

there is a shutter it don't works as a normal shutter, and if i buy it, knowing it was a

dummy,it was only for the pleasure to have a beautiful object!
