david_hay1
I've got a Contax T and the rangefinder is so dim it's pretty much useless, is this normal? The rangefinder on Yashica electros is much better. That aside it is a nice little camera.
brien_m
Do you mean that the rangefinder patch is dim, or that the entire viewfinder is dim? In general it is not as bright as other rangefinders but in reasonable light, I have no problem seeing the diamond patch. In lower light, where the overall patch is less visible, I can still see if there is general alignment so I concentrate on matching up vertical lines or other pronounced feature at the focus distance. It takes a little longer but I haven't found it that difficult. If your patch is dim under all situations, you may need to have the patch re-silvered or have the viewfinder cleaned.
