bellavance
When I look at shots taken with my 10D in BreezeBrowser, I see the focusing distance, but not with those taken with the 20D. Is it BreezeBrowser or is it the 20D? Thanks. Pierre
darklights
This should help answer your question... "New! BreezeBrowser v2.11 beta 2 Includes Canon EOS 20D, PowerShot G6 and PowerShot S70 raw conversion plus the ability to display Adobe Digital Negative (DNG) files." From their own site.. mark u
Have you tried using Canon's software as supplied with the camera?
cgo
I have BreezeBrowser 2.9 but I don't see focusing distance. What version did that begin with? Or is it lens dependent - I'll have to check shots taken with various lenses ...
mark u
My post above was not an idle one... Canon's Chuck Westfall stated that focus distance is only (guaranteed to be) reported with Canon's own software in relation to the 1DMk II, so I imagine the same is the case with the 20D. Focus distance is, of course, only reported by those lenses that encode for it. The accuracy of the report depends on the lens - some have only very coarse indications, while others offer a more finely divided scale. Lenses that report are listed on Canon's website. In addition, it seems that Tamron's Di line and at least the better Sigmas including and since the 15-30 report distance.
andrew_certain
I have a 10D and the 70-200 2.8 IS and I've never seen focusing distance. I've looked using Photoshop, IView MediaPro, and Canon's ImageBrowser and File Viewer Utility. Can somebody tell me where to find this information? Thanks.
